Benched

Gary's on the bench this weekend. Yesterday morning I noticed an injury to his upper lip. The wound was healing and looked like it happened a couple of days ago. Not the worst injury, but in a hard spot to treat.

Here's what it looked like when I saw Gary today. This is before the wound was opened up and flushed out:

And here's a picture of it after the wound was opened up and flushed out. L stuck a needle up in his lip. A bit of blood spurted out. No pus. No swelling, redness or heat. For what it's worth I didn't smell any funky smell that would indicate infection. I believe the invasive treatment delivered wasn't in Gary's best interest. That needle went pretty far into his lip.

The day prior, there was mention/joking by L. about a tracheotomy. Lovely.
